while this read is comical, they are fun to shoot! from @SimonRL 's tacti-cool 357 to my almost full tacti-cool 45-70sbl you gotta love the levers in all flavors ! the part where the author states "it kicks like a mule" means he must be some sorta weakling! from my 15yo to this 58yo, we love the range time with the 45-70!

I have them ranging from .22 up to .45-70.
But these new "tactical" lever guns just look dumb to me. Maybe I'm just too much of a traditionalist.

I do love my lever actions. One of the few passes I regret was passing up a 300 Savage in pristine condition. I chose a .30 remington game master pump over it, sigh.

I'm traditional. 1866, 1873 and 1892 for pistol caliber levers and throw in a couple of 1887 lever shotguns in 12 ga.

I have a couple of lever guns in .357 that are just about my favorite shooting irons. They've taken quite a few Ozark whitetail, south Arkansas feral hogs, and a number of coyotes and other vermin trying to raid the chicken coop.

I’ve made it no secret that I love my tactical Big Boy X it looks crazy good and fires equally well, but my classic Henry Big Boy with brass receiver and 20in octagonal barrel shoots just as well with a peep sight and fiber optic front sight. They are both awesome and I can’t wait to add to my collection. I’ve probably got another tactical build in 30-30 on the cards and I can’t stop salivating over the New Henry Original in ,45 Colt.

I'm tryin to find one here in 357. nobody has them. they can get the 45 colt. but i have a 44 mag and they are kinda close. in cartridge size anyway

every firearm i have except the g21 has been special ordered............unless i like 1911's everything is special ordered. local ffl peeps in my town are way high (usually $200 or more depending on what is ordered) and my current go-to/send-to dealer is going to end his license soon due to health issues. time to figure out somewhere else to go
