Little Range Report - SW 432 UC Ti

Lab4Us

Master Class
Made it to the range today with my newly acquired tiny SW 432 UC Ti. Only fired 20 rounds of Federal Premium Personal Defense HR Magnum 85g JHP and 20 rounds of Buffalo Bore 32 HR Magnum 100g hard cast wadcutters. I found the JHP to be way more accurate than the wadcutters, but that could have been because I’d already fired 63 rounds of .357 Sig and 50 rounds of .40SW out of a G23.5 w/Holosun SCS-MOS and probably wasn’t trying as hard as I should have 😂.

I generally use 7yds as that is the most likely furthest distance I would shoot in my residence. I imagine the little 432 would be very accurate at 3 yards, which I’ll check next week when I take it to the range by itself.

I added my G23.5 targets to prove I wasn’t entirely slacking today!

Watching.

I’m really considering one if those .32’s.
I believe these Ti models just came out this one, one year after the inaugural models with QC issues here and there. My specimen seems to be good. Sights are straight, no issues with cycling fast (I’m up to about 300 dry fires with snap caps, trigger still seems tighter than my .32 LCR). Screws all tight out of the box. This one came with an extra set of AFR grips in the box, but they seem awful hard compared to the boot grips.

I think if I could have a do over, I’d get the 632 Ti instead. The 432 black finish doesn’t seem very solid. Some aluminum showing where cylinder meets frame while closing and a small knick above trigger (probably ring). Not disappointed at all, as will be a working tool. Good news is my Harrys Holsters Icon 2.0 for J-frame came in today too!

Nice👍

You killed the neighbors cat on head shot miss on target 4, but you did take the earring clean off 😝

(Kidding 🤣😉)
😂 No kidding! All those wild shots were the Buffalo Bore hard cast, last few, including “almost” head shots, were one handed.

I foresee some near future range trips to work specifically on one handed skills. I used to practice it all the time and not sure why I just let it fade away from my range trips. I’d make a point of at least 10 rounds with each hand @ 3 or 5 yards, where I figure a threat would be if I had to respond in a hurry.

Of course I could just use the excuse that the damned wadcutters filled the range with so much powder smoke that I couldn’t see!

Good shooting.

Nice. Thanks for the report.
I'm a fan of the 32 H&R Mag, and of the UC revolvers, but don't have the combination of them yet. Now I'm trying to decide if I want Ti or not.
