Local gun stores

I wish I had a good shop near me.
I have a Shoot Point Blank, but I just use the range, not much ammo or firearms.
There is one in a small town near me is owned by a deputy and has the personality of a brick.
The largest one near me has a large supply of everything you need and he not bashful about his pricing, problem is when you enter his store you have to show your F.O.I.D. and have to stand in line until one of his arrogant sales staff feels like waiting on you.

As far as I know there are 3 ffl holders in this very small town. Only 1 has firearms, 1 graduated a few years ahead of me (don't know location) and the last 1 I've know my whole life (doesn't keep anything in stock, but used to when he had a gas station/mechanic shop and guns at the same location. He is who I bought my 1st firearm from (629 44mag in '84).

Even here in my part of California there are 8 legitimate Gun Stores. They do great gunsmithing and the like, a couple of them do brisk business. The problem is that big box stores like Turner’s, Bass Pro, and Sportsman’s Warehouse beat them on price.

I wish we had that here it would fun to hang out with them a bit get new information and just shoot the bull
I have several around me. At the LGS I buy from most of my firearms from, I know almost all the folks working there and spend hours just shooting the breeze with them until closing time. The problem with staying that long, is that they always entice me to buy more than I planned too. 😆😂

I bet I pass at least a half dozen gun stores on my way to my favorite gun range and it has a fantastic gun store of its own. In the DFW metroplex there is everything from the likes of Cabelas, Rifle Gear, Scheels and Bass Pro to mom and pop stores to pawn stores. One of the best places is in Mansfield, TX across the road from a landscaping place. Every time I go to get gear for the yard it costs me a Grand!

But I did have a good experience yesterday at sportsman warehouse went to start the paperwork on my smith model 27 young kid was a nice guy had a lot of patience for a old guy with bad hearing do when we finished I walk over to Kinders sandwich shop got hims gift and said here wanted to buy you lunch thanks for your help
