Look for ammo recommendations

I’ve used S&B for target and Hornady for EDC. I also have the 185 gr Hornady. I use Hornady for all of my EDC firearms.

I switched form the Hornady to this, very satisfied so far.

The Hornady CD ( the stuff with the red plastic tip) doesn't feed reliably in a couple of my .45s. Several years ago and after some testing I switched all my EDC to Federal HST.
I have sporadically encountered the same; seems entirely dependent upon the pistol. No intention to disparage Hornady. Great company, great product lines . . .

I’m a big fan of SIG, but they are always offering a box blemished ammo with a purchase. I rather stick with a company that’s been making Ammo for a while. I would probably use it for training Ammo. I don’t think I would feel comfortable for carry Ammo. That’s just me.

I don't buy my ammo online or from Sig, I get mine from my LGS, not blems there or seconds....Hornady is fine, I just rather have an open hollow point instead of the plastic insert, also when I can find it, I get Winchester Silver Tips, have used this for years with no issues

There's no problem with blems since they just have some cosmetic issues (if they're noticeable) detected in QC.

The same pertains to "blems" in firearms. Some manufacturers sell their "blems" at a significant discount, and one may be hard pressed to find the "blem(s)". Otherwise, the item is perfectly good function wise.

And with the first round down-range your "non-blem" becomes a "blem".

The polymer tip is what sparked my interest in Hornady. I was told they was acceptable in New Jersey. I drive through NJ a lot. I didn’t want to carry Ball ammo in New Jersey
