Looking for a SA Operator, came across this.

That depends! How much for shipping, FFL transfer fee? Only one mag. What's the bottom line on what you expect from a used gun? Why do you want an Operator as opposed to say, a Ronin? Ultimately it's going to come down to how much you want this particular pistol.

with a magwell, the grips should have covered the MSH pin, so to me, it looks out of place, then i have to question, if the past owner was a experimenter with gun smithing...

he could have switch out internals, if so, did he fit them correctly, or just to get by...???

for a couple hundred dollars more, you can get a new 1911, rather than a possible mess.

the grips should have been a full coverage type, like this..

if the past owner did not know this, did he know how to clean and lube..??

to me, he showed no knowledge of what had class, and what has krass....

Good catch old_me....you are correct about covering....never would have caught that myself.

Add: And I was only concerned about him showing the side of the 1911 that does NOT show the idiot scratch(es).

I want the Operator, for the rail, and can't afford a railed TRP.
My current short list is the Operator, SIG Scorpion, or the Sig Full Size Railed 1911

i had a GREAT 1911 with a rail, but i had to sell it, for personal reasons otherwise i'd still have it..

it 'might be" a great budget friendly consideration, if you don't mind it's country of origin...

While looking for a Firstline Operator, I came across this on Gun dot com
I can get it for 775, have not purchased a used gun in a long time.

Deal or No Deal?

Thank you
I snipped the photos out and opened them in editor and blew them up... honestly I don't care for the amount of wear and scuffing on the left side, and what could be a couple dings. The add says "cleaned up" too, so that's a nah from me... save a couple hundred more bucks and get what you want. Could be a legit good gun and deal but I personally would pass.

Not all magwells are the same.

Looks like this one is the type that just fits under the grips, and is secured by the grip screws.

It doesn’t look bad; price isn’t bad.

I would consider rolling those dice.

The grip is vastly different from the OEM grips. The OEM grips overlap the main spring housing spring tube, the grips in the post on website do not. There is a difference that begs more scrutiny.
