Lucas Extreme Duty CLP

Have any of you tried it ? I picked some up today from the same auto parts store I got the Mechanix Wear gloves from. It was $8 so I thought I'd give it a try.
I am a fan of all Lucas gun products. Got a bottle of CLP about 6 feet from me now, in my junky living room. (Now, if I could only find my guns...)
Their oil & grease are terrific, and the clp seems to work fine although I dunno if it’s as good as Breakfree ( I need to compare). Also love their spray/blast off cleaner.
Lucas & Tetra are largely my go-to products.

Here's another semi-related question ( I don't want to start a whole new thread when we have this here perfectly good one). For you guys that use bore snakes ( I use them for handguns sometimes, but I don't have any for my rifles or ARs).
Do you clean them? I mean you can't just use them indefinitely right?

Yes, I clean mine after a few uses. Just stuff it in an old sock, tie it off, and throw it in the washing machine. Hang it up to dry (Out of the sock, of course).

Grit can get built up in the snakes, and possibly damage the bore if they get too dirty.

It's all good until she breaks out in hives. She is extremely chemically intolerant.

She says I should use a bucket with hot water and dish soap. Shake the F out of it, hit it with a brush and rinse it off with a hose.

Smart lady. Some of that stuff is pretty nasty. "It's all good until she breaks out in hives. She is extremely chemically intolerant." Situation here too.

I was about to suggest dish detergent and a thorough hot water rinse, then the clothesline in the sun ( or equivalent).
But Hans’ idea is spot on..
