Yeah, the wife just informed me there's no way in hell I'm washing my bore snakes in her washing machine.

Hey guys, just take your snake in the shower with you, give it a good soapy scrubbing, a good rinse, then hang it to dry over the shower nozzle. BUT, be sure to remove it before the little lady's turn for the shower.
PS: I also take my muzzle loading bbls in the shower with me as soon as I return from a muzzle loader hunt. Give them a good hot water scrubbing, then a super hot water rinse, then oil it as soon as I'm dried off and dressed. Been doing this for many years, although I don't muzzle hunt a great deal.

I've been using Lucas Oil products on my firearms for years and have been happy with the results. I wash my bore snakes in the washing machine, but I've always stuffed them in one of my wife's old delicate/lingerie bags. As long as I wash the bore snakes in a load with just my clothes, my wife doesn't have a problem with it.
