I'm not seeing too much green there my friend, but some small patches of snow on the slope behind him. It's his lucky day too since trout season is actually still open in Pa (1/1/24 - 2/19/24) I think.
Here's a picture of a 40 year old garden statue my wife just painted for a lady friend of hers. The statue reportedly had sat out in the yard for the entire forty years and was pretty weather beaten and worn, and obviously those statues are not exact representations of the actual bird. She used her artistic talents and a few reference pictures to use as guides. Took her almost a month of spare time to get it done due to the detail. Most of which you can't see from this photo, but the detail on the wings is really good. She used artist acrylic paints.
I've got to brag just a little, she's a very talented artist ... she does some oil paint landscapes to knock your socks off. Paints water with a 3" wide house painting brush that looks like it could actually run off the canvas. Yeh, I said that! The statue is supposed to be a Great Blue Heron, but in reality looks more like a caricature than an actual bird.
