Lyman gun cleaning mat

ok, so my Midsouth Shooters purchase just arrived minutes ago (yes on a Sunday) via FedEx

i got 2, Lyman cleaning mats. i just cannot recall what message board site i was on, that we were discussing gun cleaning mats.

it's either old age, or old age, i can't remember

i stated that i use a toolbox liner which can be bought at Lowes or Home Depot, and cut to fit your bench.

then someone linked to Midsouth, where the lyman mats were on sale, so i go 2...

1 for my reloading bench, to prop up my shell casing container and to catch errant primers

1 for the cleaning bench

i wish i had never seen the Tim Allen show, and "Tim the Toolman Taylor" as like him, i cannot pass up a tool, which is why the Mrs doesn';t allow me to go shopping with her...she'd be looking for clothing, i'd be off in search of tools.

@Old_Me bad links they "bad link 400 on my end.

I use the basic green Remington mat I can buy at a number of places locally. They're solvent proof if you knock over a bottle and washing machine washable. Best of all they're cheap $10-12 depending on the store. Long enough for your rifle as well. For my pistols I just fold in half.

the longer one is for rifles..i thought about buying it, it would fit great across the work/cleaning bench, but it would still be the same height as the pictured one, so i didn't bother.

I have a Browning cleaning mat from my skeet shooting days-
I should probably have a Colt, Sig and S&W pistol mats,,,,
