M&P Finally arrived!

Omg! You have no idea!!! Or maybe you do. Don’t even get me started on that…I have no appropriate way to describe that…”person”. Let’s just say that he makes Joe Biden look like a highly intelligent individual. Loonies and toonies. Ah, the heavy Canadian coinage that would weigh my pockets down. But yeah, Trudeau is an imbecile. Just sayin’ 😎
Easy enough: True Dope 😅

So I got off work early yesterday and thought I would drive out to one my LGSs. It's 25 miles out from home in the other direction, but it was a nice day for a fall drive, and I wanted to check and see how they were making out with installing a new scope on my hunting rifle.

Well, he was done with the rifle, so my timing was good. He also told me that the S&W pistols had arrived...my timing was excellent!! I have been reading and watching youTube reviews on this gun and was torn between this one and the XDm Elite. I fell in love when he put it in my hand, so...yeah, here it is. Smith and Wesson M&P9 2.0 subcompact. The coolest thing is that the 17 round mags from my M&P fit in it. Came with a sleeve specially for it.View attachment 45651View attachment 45652View attachment 45653
That extended mag looks very well designed, great ergonomics! Enjoy!

I've owned 6 Shields and one M&P 2.0 Compact. Owned the Compact for several years now. I never understood why anyone complained about the stock trigger as it was just fine. There's really no need to spend $100+ to replace the trigger.

I have the full APEX Competition trigger kit on my 2.0 Compact, I have the full APEX Duty/Carry kit on my Shield 45 PC, the new bladed trigger on the Shield Plus, and the traditional stock trigger on everything else. None make a bit of difference for me when putting rounds on paper. Maybe, IDK, if I shot long distances (100 yards) or something it would make a difference, but it's a self-defense pistol. At self-defense distance and common distance most fire their 4" or less small carry guns, I don't notice a difference despite the hype. Plus it's a PITA installing an APEX trigger, and I don't understand why S&W designed it so that you have to remove, reinstall, and rezero the rear sight to remove the striker block which is a requirement to install the APEX trigger kit.

@belladonna Congrats on the new M&P, go out and put a few thousand rounds through it and let the trigger break in before buying onto the hype that you need a $120 replacement.
