m&p m2.0

My wife has a shield ez, it is ok I guess, good gun, just little small for my liking. This one is a little bigger.
I know this is a springfield site, but I am after a new edc and am looking at every option.

I have a Shield 2.0 9mm with the Integrated Laser. Really like it. Never have had a problem, no matter what I shoot through it. Accurate and conceals well. I think they are great, I especially like the grip texture. Some think it is too abrasive, but it works for me.

I have the M&P full size 9mm in V1 and 2.0 (4.25" bbl, 17+1 rounds). I also have the 9, 40 (and on order 45), M&P 2.0 compacts (3.6" bbl for 9 & 40, 4" bbl for the 45). In addition to my V1 9mm Shield and V1 Performance Center Shields in 9, 40 & 45. I recently just purchased the Performance Center Shield Plus (9mm 4" bbl), whose trigger I liked better than the regular Shield Plus (3.1" bbl) that they had at the LGS, after trying several of both. In addition, I have the the M&P Performance Center 2.0 CORE pistol with 5" bbl.
As you can tell, I like the M&P series. The 2.0 has the gritty texture on the grips (which I like, but some people find it's too rough), and the trigger is much better than the non Performance Center V1 M&P's (I swapped in an APEX trigger to my V1 non PC Shield after I bought it)

But I'll also mention I like Springfields as well, owning 1911 RO, TRPs in 45 and 10mm (6"), XDe,XDs,XD Mod.2 all chambered in 45, XDM 10mm 5,25", M1A National Match, Saint 16" AR15 and Saint Victor 300 BO pistol.

It looks like this is the 4" Compact M2.0 (15+1) vs the Full size 4.24" M2.0 (17+1) I have. As I mentioned previously, I do have the 3.6 Compacts (15+1) in 9 & 40 (the 45 on order only comes with the 4" bbl). Only my 5" Core is optics ready and only my full size V1 M&P 40 & 45 (I forgot to include them in my previous post), has the magazine disconnect which I'm not fond of. I also prefer no external slide safety on my pistols (although my Performance Center V1 Shield 9mm has one), which is why I also went with the PC Shield Plus as all the non PC Plus Shields at the LGS had the slide safety. Good luck with it if/when you buy it. :)
Anyhow @the obsrver, I think it's a good choice and think you'll like it, I know I like all of mine, plus you'll get to put an optic on it if that's your preference.
