The ranges here only allow brass. That’s all I’m familiar with anyway.I don't care for steel cased.

The only issue with range brass is finding all that I shoot. Not cartridge, but my brass at my home range. The ranges here only allow brass. That’s all I’m familiar with anyway.
I bet the WWB is fine now. My ‘experience’ happened at an approx time there seemed to be a number of postings on various sites describing problems with it.I have a buttload of the Winchester white (and green) box. Got it on sale at my FFL. I guess I'll run it until it's gone. I had a couple of fail to feeds, but not sure from which ammo. Thanks!
I had WWB fail miserably a couple months ago. Was on saleI bet the WWB is fine now. My ‘experience’ happened at an approx time there seemed to be a number of postings on various sites describing problems with it.
Also, the S&B is plentiful here (more so than WWB) and no more expensive. So I stick with it, mostly.
I haven't bought any White Box since I started hearing about the issues. I still have a couple hundred rounds of it in .45 from a few years ago. Shot 100 this morning with no problems.I bet the WWB is fine now. My ‘experience’ happened at an approx time there seemed to be a number of postings on various sites describing problems with it.

See? This is why I throw my questions out there. I don't care how it makes me look. I appreciate every response. Like I said, I will run that stuff through my guns and see what happens. It might be fine with one, and the others might puke it all over the place. I am wondering now if that is the reason it was so cheap? We'll see..I had WWB fail miserably a couple months ago. Bought a trial box to see if they have improved since earlier they sucked.
Had 2 failures in 2 guns… confirmed
Dont buy that again
I bet @Belt Fed Hi Point and Kel tec chews them up all day long and then the gun cracks after a hundred roundsSee? This is why I throw my questions out there. I don't care how it makes me look. Just be careful of squibs. Usually a rare occurence with factory loads, but it can be dangerous if you get a squib load stuck in the barrel and pull the trigger again. You can usually hear a squib. It's considerable quieter, sounds noticeably wrong and obviously the recoil will be less.See? This is why I throw my questions out there. I don't care how it makes me look. 45acp is the only wwb I've shot cartridge for. 0 issues. If you reload, stay away from Jag primed brass. Not squibs, just fail to ignite! It got interesting when doing the range part for cc license. The day before all 3 mags ran fine (45 rounds). CCI primers have always come thru and I BUY with confidence (39 years of use and counting)!I haven't bought any White Box since I started hearing about the issues. That is, by far, the most definitive list of carry loads going. Given, it’s usually referenced for duty pistols (4” barrel, give or take), but when you look at the rounds represented’s performance out of shorter barrels (the Lucky Gunner tears, for example) you’ll see that most of them also perform well.A lot of Name trainers in the shooting industry recognize this guy Dr. Gary Roberts as the leading expert on wound ballistics.
I have asked a few of them to recommend ammunition to me and every time I do they reference this list.
Service Caliber Handgun Duty and Self-Defense Ammo
6/1/16 When comparing well designed duty handgun ammunition, there are minimal differences in penetration depths and temporary cavity effects, as noted below in the gel shots by Doug Carr: http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq319/DocGKR/Handgun_gel_comparison.jpg As...pistol-forum.com
My preference is 124 grain +P Gold Dots but, as I was told, anything on this list will serve you well
I think he has another list in that same sub forum specifically for short barrel pistolsThat is, by far, the most definitive list of carry loads going. That list has been around for about 20 years, give or take, and I’ve not seen any rounds do better.
I've found Fiocchi to be quite dirty, but also got a good deal on it I think, $0.27/round for their 115gr. So far, my favorite training ammo is Sig 115gr and Sellier & Bellot 115gr. Seems to be very consistent, and very clean. My M&P Shield 9 and my Hellcat run great with Fiocchi 124 for range and Black Hills Honey Badger 125 Subsonic for self defense. The Fiocchi range ammo (got a great deal on a case) is a bit snappier than the Honey Badger but good for practice. My new P365 380 runs Blazer Brass Case 95 grain and Honey Badger 60 grain well also and the snap factor is the same as the two 9's. Find what your guns like and shoot often!
