M1A in 30.06

They need to build a 30.06 rifle that operates on a M1 Garand action type action with a BAR 30.06 magazine that looks like a M1A rifle.
Why not. I have always loved my 30.06 for hunting and shooting and my M14 when in the ARMY. I'm thinking sales would go through the roof.

They should try harder then. The whole concept is from the magazine fit. BAR mags are not very good stable mags like the M14's are. SO, make a new mag in 30.06 like the M14 mag just a little wider or a FAL mag re-designed. If that's to impossible to engineer with a Garand receiver, then how did they engineer the M14? I know why they made in 3.08, but how they made it is more important. It's hard for me to believe that "GUNSMITHS" can't make something that's compatible in the 30.06 format when all the parts are there that just need redesigned.
It's been tried before by some gunsmiths.

Best to get a Garand

Then the answer is clear.

Go buy a Garand, and find a gunsmith willing to do the job when you throw enough money at him.

I mean, if it’s so darn easy...

Considering US firearms ingenuity one would think what you ask for would be available now, or for the last 80 years since the Garand went into service. But it isn't.

J.C. Garand looked at a detachable mag but didn't go there, but as you say they did it with the M-14/M1A.

But since you've got it figured out why don't "you" try harder, take out a big loan, go to a reputable maufacturer and make it happen. You'd likely have to design your own 30/06 detachable magazine, or pay Noreen a royalty since they had to design and make their own for their 30/06 AR-10.

Or you can buy a Garand. I think the latter is more realistic.

I got it and I do not like the 8rds en-block clip but the Garand is a great weapon; just as General George Patton.
So, I'll go buy a BAR. We won wars with the 30.06, but NATO needed the .308 and lots of $$$$ spent on getting contracts. Now it's .223 AR life. Got your 80%er yet?? Your right, I'll get that built right after I win the lottery. Stay safe and now I'll ask another Q: Where can I buy a 12ga AR upper?? Lets call it a AR-12 upper, but some like to still call them an AR-10, 12ga. Most gun nuts don't know that a 12ga mag will fit into a AR-10 mag well, meaning that if you fit the mag to AR-10 stds. all one needs is an AR-12 upper and voila. .308/12ga capabilities or; a ghost gun, black rifle, street sweeper. That out to set some libs hair on fire. Anyway, I can't find anyone that makes just the 12ga upper.
