Magazine spring question

Among the few magazines I have for my 9mm Ronin I have one Wilson Combat ( # 920 flush base magazine) I notice the Wilson magazine is easier to load and it is easier to depress the follower than the Stock Springfield ones, all are 9 round mags. The Wilson was a gift and I don't know it's history but I do not think it was heavily used. Is this a sign of the spring going bad in the Wilson; I have read that they have a weaker spring than others. The magazine works fine, feeding and locking the slide. My initial thought is to use it as long as it is working correctly and not try to fix something that is not broken.
Also, I have a Springfield magazine ( Blued flush base, 9 round with MetalForm logo) that I bought new and it would not fully insert. The back was hitting the ejector preventing full seating. Springfield sent me a replacement and said to keep the faulty one for parts. Could the spring be used in the Wilson Mag when the time comes to replace it's spring?

Wollf springs are very reasonably priced for replacements. If you are going to replace a weak spring just go ahead and buy a new one. Why bother with a second hand spring. Or, replace the spring with an OEM one from Wilson to keep the magazine original.

Just a personal opinion.

many times new magazines are hard to load to the full number of rounds. what is usually recommended is loading them up, and let them sit a few days to "loosen up" that new spring tension a bit.

to this day, of owning many guns, (only 3 years now) i have yet to replace ANY spring(s)....

Wilson does not have springs for their 9 round magazines; only the 10 rounders. Evidently their #920 9mm 9 rnd flush magazines are the same as the Chip McCormick flush magazines except marked Wilson Combat.
It is working, feeds and activates the slide stop fine so I'll just keep using it. If any issues come up I'll put the spring from the faulty Springfield 9 round mag into it. Springfield said keep it for part when they replaced it and it is a new, unused spring.

On another note: I thought about sending the bad mag to Ed Brown under his Mag trade in but at 10.00 for the Brown Mag, 14.95 for shipping and postage to send it to Ed Brown I would have between 30.00 and 35.00 in the magazine. Seems like a good deal if you have several magazines to trade in ( one shipping charge) but for only 1 magazine I may as well just buy it at the LGS and save the hassle.

I sent in 3 about a year ago. I got the better end of the deal. Although Ed Brown mags aren't as reliable as McCormick or Wilson.
