Magpul stock wobble fix?

I generally like most magpul stuff but the stock wobble of moe is maddening.
I’ve tried the Velcro , milk carton and electrical tape. Any other ideas besides the trash can?

I used electrical tape when I had the Magpul MOE stock on my Bushmaster. It took two strips down each side and one on top, but it didn't move a centimeter after that. The electrical tape solution has always seemed to work on most rifles I've had or have.

It’s a PSA lower “ budget “ build. I don’t know if it’s against web sight rules to post link. Here is picture from their website.

OK, that's one of their base MOE models. PSA should have a mil-spec tube vs a commercial spec tube so whatever level of wobble is compatible with the stock & tube.

That being said you could replace that stock with CTR which looks the same but has a cam lock that tightens things up only when you're at the length you want to use.

Then how much wobble is there? It should be minimal but if you want something tighter then there is the CTR, but at an extra cost. And the slight wobble might allow the stock settle into the crook of your shoulder better.

It depends on what you want to try out for awhile & whether you want to spend extra $$ for the CTR.

You know, as tight as supplies of components are right now...I actually wonder if PSA used commercial diameter stocks, if that's all they could get their hands on.

Usually MOE's have a little play, but not a ton.

Otherwise, yeah, just slap on a CTR or an ACS and be good to go.

Commercial is wider diameter, so maybe a mil spec buffer tube, but Commercial stock that does wobble a bunch. Quick tech tip. Since Plastic can shrink when coating I use this combo and back it just a little longer than needed to cure the coating and the stock fits like normal. But a bad coater will have to sand the inside of the mil spec stock since their coating thickness combined with shrinkage will amen the stock really tough to manipulate.
