Is the trigger on yours standard width? I’ve been reading reviews on trigger replacements and have read a couple that said they didn’t fit the Gold Cup. Made me concerned about the one on the Competition.
Gonna need a new family pic soon… probably grab on in a few or early in the morning. That Metro 9mm is making a trip to the manufacturer tomorrow so this may be the last chance for a while.

I know I’m hijacking my own thread with these but I also picked up another Witness Elite Limited. Here’s the pair. I really like these guns even though engaging the thumb safety is a challenge. I actually use the ambi lever with the trigger finger to engage because the other is very cumbersome to engage from because of its size and shape. However, it’s easy to disengage on that side.

Made some changes to the Colt Competition. Put a Wilson Combat competition trigger in it. It fit tighter and got rid of the weird click I felt pulling the trigger. My son noticed it too when I was playing with the trigger. Made a loud click and I could feel it in the grip safety.
I didn’t see anything wrong inside but I had already bought the trigger so I installed it along with a stainless mainspring housing and magwell. The click is gone. I thought for a min I was going to have to fit it to the frame but once it was in, the fitment was perfect. No play as opposed to the factory trigger.
The mainspring housing was intended for a Kimber Raptor but I decided I liked the grips that were on the Raptor so I had it laying around. I don’t think it looks bad. The grips are some cheapies I had on my desk. We’re intended to be sent back but are the only magwell grips I had. They aren’t the greatest fit grips but they will do for now.
