Is it possible to add to the older Hellcat Pro?

While I can understand why you may want a manual safety, in my experience most stock striker fired pistols have more than enough trigger travel to safely carry with one in the pipe. There are also options for DBL SNGL action as well as a bladed trigger. Too many safety features will get you un-alive with the quickness under stress.

My 2 cents is no, but if you really want one, buy it since a trade would be likely prohibitive. I have those with and those without with plastic guns. I don't see the need but I've purchased depending on price and availability. It's not gonna stop me if I see one at $150-200 bucks off on a model I want. You do you though.

If you want a manual safety go for it. By the time you purchase the parts then pay a qualified smitty, It may be less expensive to either sell or trade your current model for a newer one with the manual safety. They just had a gear up promo ( 3 extra mags and Viridian (sp?) optic) with new Hellcats wrap up but I’m sure there will be another “Gear Up” promo in 2025.

So in theory yes, the original frames had the mold marks where the future safeties were going to go. But you need a whole new sear assembly with the safety and would have to cut the frame to make it fit. In all practical sense….no because the parts are not available unless you cannibalize another frame.

Decades of carrying the 1911 made my switch to a Glock in the 90's a mental difficulty. Custom slide back then because you could not get a red dot slide from the factory. I later cut the 19 frame down to Glock 26 size to hide the gun easily in the summer in an inside the waistband holster. But when the Sig 365 came out with an optics cut and

a 1911 style safety, I got that instead of the Glock. Just makes me feel better, and I would catch myself swiping off a non existent manual safety as I presented the Glock. That 1911 habit never did go away.
