Masada Slim

Like I said earlier, I didn't trade off any of mine.

Weird thing though. I had a little bit of extra cash set aside which I spent on ammo the other night. It was money I had kept aside for the Masada. When I spur of the moment stopped at the gun store this morning and they had the pistol, I had that moment when you really quickly have to decide if making the purchase was worth listening to the wife b***h about it. We see how I decided. The funny part is when I told her not only did she not complain, but she didn't even seem annoyed. She even made a joke. She asked if it was for shooting Palestinians.

Yeah, weird day.

Leaning heavily towards the green 507K for this one.
My wife was like that when I came home with my Henry Big Boy.

She just said - I blame @KillerFord1977.

Like a good husband I agreed. 😎😎😎

All I know is that your Benelli M1014 fund was reduced for just less of $500. Me thinks  it seem to be going in the wrong $$$ direction brother Bob.😭 😬:)
Well, I said to myself on the way home this morning that I'm going to stop buying pistols now for at least the rest of the year. So if you think about it, it was a step in the right direction.

Though I do have plans for a .308 build. And a few mods to the ol' 1301T. :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, I think it was a good pick up (the Masada), so congrats on that. I've been interested in both the Masada and Jericho pistols for a while now. I also have an order in since early April 2023 for the Bul SAS II pistol at my LGS.

Well, I had to change the oil in the Lexus this morning, but I made some time to get the IWI out to the range before I have to get ready to travel to the dreaded state of Illinois ( Greenville) for a funeral. So I'll give a brief synopsis of my thoughts so far.

First order of business was to make sure the 507K I put on it was zero'ed. I used 5 or 6 rounds of S&B 124 gr. ball ammo to start. Few clicks on the elevation dial and I was pretty good. Then I checked it against a couple rounds of 124 gr. HST and some 124 gr. Punch. A few minor adjustments to elevation and I was satisfied.

I ran 200 rounds of the S&B ball, 25 rounds of Punch and 15 rounds of HST. No failures or hiccups.

The gun is accurate, though I feel like it's not quite as accurate as the VP9s. That may be on me though. I shoot the VP9s really well and this is after all the first time I have shot the Masada. Although straight out of the gate with the SK I was knocking the crap out of the bull very comfortably. Anyway.....

The trigger is pretty nice. A little more pre travel than I'm used to but the break is nice and clean, no slop and a VERY short reset. All in all I think the VP9 trigger is a little better. The Masada S is breaking around 5.5 lbs currently.

The take down lever is precisely where my index point for my weak hand thumb goes. It is convenient, but also a little irritating to the thumb.

Off hand it shoots nice groups. I did all my shooting at 15 yards and beat up some 2" and 4" orange circles pretty bad.

Recoil is very minimal and settling back down on target very quickly is not an issue. Double taps and mag dumps yield minute of bad guy's face groupings at 15 yards.

I will definitely be spending a lot more time on the range with this one, but as it stands now my view of what this gun is and isn't is that it will be a good gun for AIWB carry and a fine personal defense handgun. That said the only area where it may outshine the SK ( I will have my holster Monday) is comfort of carry. I'll re-assess my opinion after I take a class or two and do some drilling with it.

Bass bob sounds like you really like this one a lot enjoy 😉

Did you have to put grip tape or hogue rubber sleeves
I didn't have to, but the first thing I did before I ever even shot it was put a Talon Grip ( rubber) on it. It feels pretty nice. I have never used tape or any add on grips or anything on any gun before. I like it on this one though. There is before and after pics at the top of this page.
