jeepers HG - hopefully someone survives
being a former trucker myself...rarely does anyone survive double semi head on crashes.
other than the frame, nearly 90% (more or less) are plastic bodies. when they burn, they burn down to the frame.
falling asleep behind the wheel is an all too real thing in the industry.
we are working a 24 hour clock, and many just do not get enough sleep.
some problems with sleeplessness are self inflicted, by drinking caffeinated beverages, or eating high sugar content foods.
there is also drugs, and alcohol that sometimes play a role in a drivers life.
many think that they can still do that shite, and will not get caught.
my worst fear for my family was that i die in my sleep, and it goes undiscovered for not just days, but weeks.
tough way to make a living, and too many yahoo's out there that think they know what they are doing.
too much more to rant on, but i hope many will get the idea, that trucking is a highly responsible job for fools, fudds, and other miscreants, and general "know-it-alls" , to get into.
