Matt Gaetz as AG and Tulsi Gabbard as DNI

i saw the senate clowns already busting his chops
while he would not have been my 1st pick...it is what it is
AG is a tough job, to be handled on a balancing wire..he is far from balanced imo
i second mrs habba

Tulsi on the other hand, i like watching her speak, she always has conviction, grace and dead on accurate , even when she tells you your a DA, she smiles
and she is not hard on the eye balls like some in DC
curious about FBI director ???? pull some agent from the field...not dc that actually understands what the FBI is supposed to do.
Hey, if commie loving Brennan is trashing Tulsi, that should tell you everything you need to know.

Trump nominated these folks. He nominated them for specific reasons. We voted him back in, in a landslide (relative to recent elections). Let them sink or swim (nominees). Could anything get any worse? I mean come on....Mayorkas?

And Brennan speaking badly of anyone makes me want to like that person more.

I think Tulsi is a refreshing challenge to the bureaucracy. Her heart is in the right place and Trump will back her to the end. Having worked in and around the intel community, the working level folks are patriots with a serious sense of mission. The leadership of those agencies with their propensity for fiefdoms and turf wars is another matter. They are competing for resources. I have heard career intel managers say they are permanent, the appointees are temporary. Having multiple intel agencies is a good thing because you NEVER want all that intel apparatus in one agency-it is far too much power in one place, but you need a leader who can make them work together toward a common goal. It remains to be seen if Tulsi has the steel to deal with the swamp critters. She will need a sharp axe.
Having worked around and in intel agencies myself and also overseas they have become bloated and rudderless. Multiple intel agencies is not necessarily a good thing as the competition you speak of and the turf wars hurt the mission. I agree that the folks at working level are true patriots - mostly, and they are a talented bunch whose skills have been frittered away by the civilian and military leadership. I would think that we could at least shave the 16 down by half to eight and of those remaining, reduce their manpower. The way I see it, the previous DNI, Radcliffe, has been appointed the new director of the CIA. He's the heavy hitter and this is where he should be. This is why I think ODNI will take a secondary role if not eventually dissolved.

If Gaetz isn't confirmed he can be named to Rubio's vacant Senator position by DeSantis.

Gaetz's House seat should be a safe one for another candidate, so then the Repub advantage in both House & Senate wouldn't be compromised.

If I was Trump that's how I would play the game.

If I was Gaetz I'd rather be a US Senator vs. a Dept head.

Whatever you say about Gaetz, he is a scrapper. He has been very aggressive in my district on supporting the military, veterans, immigration controls, and support of Trump. He has an outsized ego and reputation as a womanizer and a lot of women dislike him. There is an allegation that he had sex with a 17 year old girl who was being trafficked, but DOJ dropped the matter. He had an associate who was convicted in a trafficking scheme. From what I have seen and heard of him, I don't doubt the sex allegation but there is no proof.

While I know nothing and do not pretend to (about Gaetz's accusation), I doubt any accusations of sexual misconduct in today's political climate. Since the "air" of a complaint can derail anyone's career, it seems to now be a common strategy. I fully admit that most politicians are scoundrels, but this tactic has been abused recently and I now equate this tactic to being called a racist. It doesn't mean anything anymore.

When Lyndon Johnson was running for office in Texas in the 50's he told staff to start a rumor that his opponent was having an affair. Staff said "but we can't prove it". Johnson said, "We don't have to prove it. We just need to get him to deny it". A number of past presidents were womanizers, but until Clinton the media just didn't widely report on them. The tactic is well worn.
