I think that was the idea. Two birds with one stone so to speak.
My take on it is that Matt G. Has been cleared, hence the failure to release any details by the Demos. He just thought he was going to drag Trump down, so quit. I think that when all the fluff and feathers settle down, he will be appointed into another position. All of Trump’s appointments will be tested and threatened. None will be allowed a slot without tremendous pressure to drop out.

Don't know much about Gaetz other than there has been a lot of accusations, none confirmed. All that tells me is he isn't liked on the hill, or they would be circling the wagons to protect him like they do the rest of the SOB's. If the other pol.'s don't like him he can't be all bad.
