I turned my cable box after the last Super Bowl and am good with it.

America by nature is already inclusive. When a race, culture, political party, sports team, etc. demands more attention I prefer to not waste any time or money on them.

I live near the border of Mexico and the celebrations of Mexican culture are nowhere near as extravagant as other parts of the country. Why? Because people down here are too busy working and taking care of their families to waste time or money they don't have, because most of them already realize they live in the greatest country in the world.

I'm never surprised that most of those who want respect aren't willing to put in the work to earn it. And in doing so they create conflict that could have been avoided.

If America is so bad, why is it every ethnic group that lives here has members that are millionaires and much better off than members in their native countries? Why does it have to be so complicated?
 
I never did have any interest in football. I stopped watching baseball in early 80's when they went on strike because they weren't making enough money. I stopped watching basketball when they started jumping from the free throw line and dunking the basket.

If I hadn't already stopped watching , when they started failing to stand for the National Anthem would have been the end for me. I couldn't care less about what their little agenda is.
 
Like so many others I too stopped watching all the sports college and professional when they started all their woke & take a knee BS. Since then I only watch one football game a year, Army vs Navy. I did however find one American sport that I watch religiously, PRCA Rodeo on the Cowboy Channel. EVERY rodeo begins with a prayer and the National Anthem. Usually during the performance they will recognize some veterans and/or first responders. So if it were up to me to support all these butt hurt NFL, NBA, NCAA or whatevers they would all be greeters at Walmart, which by the way I don't go to either.
 
The Star Spangled Banner was written in 1814 during a time when black people were property and Native Americans were persecuted to near extinction. While I don’t agree with alternate national anthems I understand why people don’t feel represented by the current one.

well, the way "i see it"....that was the past, and today's "people" of race, color, religion have been "Americans" all this time now, totally enjoying police, fire, military protections from harm, education for free (in public schools), free health care, and the many other freedoms of being a born "American".

seems to me they get too much "enjoyment" at a rather low to no cost and still want more, from those of us, even those in government offices, that had nothing to do with the past transgressions of others......???

I don’t disagree with you, but by the same token we wholeheartedly celebrate all the fantastic achievements of the past 300+ years that have made America the greatest country on earth while conveniently overlooking the chequered history that is also forever woven into the fabric of America. You can’t celebrate the achievements of the past and then blame past transgressions on somebody else.
