I gave up on the NFL three years ago when all the kneeling & alternative Anthems started.

The Dems business model is "identity politics" and to pit one group against each other while pandering/promising things to these same groups at the same time.

The Dems are a very tribal party and want to turn the USA into Europe, which we all know has a very turbulent & divisive history, and are not good role models.

Our ancestors all came to this Continent from elsewhere including the American Indians (all the various subgroups, north-south) which have been DNA traced to have originated in NE Asia, coming across during the last ice age.

It's fine to honor/practice former ethnic traditions/customs but if you're an USA American of any past origin there's only one National Anthem.

If you're a Green carder like William Shatner either pony up to becoming a formal citizen or go back to your original country.

slave trade was a business back in the day. the chiefs of the tribes sold thier own people to the traders, for trinkets.

the way i see it, done deal, none of us had anything to do with it. once "freed" many stayed in America, that could have found a way back to thier homeland.

i find it difficult to believe that 100% of the many that protest the past of all that, are indeed ancestors of those bought and traded.

if anyone does not like it here in America, they can take a fast boat, plane, or blimp for all i care and go someplace else.

again, those that protest, also "enjoy" what they DO HAVE in a free land here.

on the same ticket then...rioting, looting, burning down cities........are ok too..??????

there is so much money being thrown around pro sports, from the networks paying to broadcast them, to the tv/radio commercials, to all sorts of companies endorsing players/teams, i wish i had 1/10th of 1% of that weekly take.

and they "the players" want more in thier contracts, and strike if they don't get it..???

they should be so lucky....

maybe instead of blowing thier money on "blow", and other drugs, and booze, and expensive cars, homes, and "escorts", they should invest wisely into stocks, bonds, and other sources of high yielding investments income, cuz thier playing days will end real soon for some.

No NFL here since 2014. In fact I make sure that all my tv’s are tuned to anything else totally unrelated to sports when games are on. Cable companies keep track of what we watch and report/sell viewership stats to networks.

Gotta wonder if the front office played too much football without a helmet. I think they’re done with the “frat-style” fan base. As the LA Dodgers had done hosting those drag nuns (btw, one member of that group was arrested recently for ‘flogging the dolphin’ in public), the NFL will continue to push the woke issues and don’t care about the everyday loyal, diehard sports fan.

Although the NFL did ban …um, “drop from consideration“ any super bowel halftime show or National Anthem participation, from one notably obscene entertainer for allegations of inappropriate acts on employees, lets see how far they‘ll go towards the end of the season to further insult regular, salt of the earth folks…

Well nothing in the anthem mentions race. I know you're gonna say that you can't just forget about it and never mention it again, ala Big Brother in 1984, but someone should tell that to the people who tear down statues of Columbus and confederate generals. You can't say we should acknowledge slavery and the transgressions of the past out of one side of your mouth and say we should erase history by tearing down statues. And when I say you, I don't mean YOU Simon.

The anthem is for ALL Americans and makes no reference to how you got here or what happened to you when you got here. Professional sports, where players of different races and nationalities unite as teams, were once our escape from the political propaganda we see now. When our pros play in other countries, there are only 2 anthems played, ours and theirs. Maybe our pro leagues here might learn from them and discontinue the recent practices that serve only to divide rather than unite us.

I think the days of market based ad revenue in pro sports or many other endeavors are long gone. I'm not sure how many have dropped watching the NFL or any pro sport but they are still around because the effect has been minimal. The true sponsors (woke oligarchs) continue to pump money into the sport to bludgeon us with their messages. Any increase in product sales from ads is gravy. So yes, there is so much money being thrown around that lack of viewership has little effect. Take the WNBA. The NBA gifted women a league but it should have been long gone based upon dismal attendance and viewership and hence ad revenue. It's still here ambling along because someone is still throwing money at it.

What galls me is the ad revenue for recruiting ads. Those are tax dollars trying to appeal to young football fans who I wager want nothing to do with the current woke military. In return, we get these lavish military appreciation ceremonies (more tax dollars) at games where the feelings of many players are far from appreciating the military. The undercurrent was exposed after Pat Tilman's death in Afghanistan. He was stupid, don't you know? Anyway, I now do things more productive with my Sundays...and Thursdays...and Mondays.
