Brownells sells a clone of the 416.

You could also buy a piston kit for your AR to convert it.

I saw that this morning. And I have looked into the AA piston guns too.

I have a AA piston upper on a standard lower.

I built that one to run a suppressor.

Runs real clean with & without a suppressor.

A tad bit not as accurate as my DI guns but that's been noted before.
They look pretty cool. And I like the AA barrels. I have one of their DI's. It's very accurate and the upper is well made.

Problem is if you buy an HK clone you have to put up with all the insufferable HK purists. Ask me how I know.

I built what I called my “wannabe 416” before the MR556 came out; used a Colt 16” HBAR upper, put an Adams piston on it…used the HBAR because it was quite accurate before, and it is still very accurate.
I may look into putting an Adams piston on my Adams DI. It's really accurate and seems fitting for the conversion. Is it difficult to install ?
