That's what I think. The headline is a bit of an exaggeration. He's acting director until the ATF's reorganization and leadership changes take place, possibly rolling it in to the FBI.

I think there is a strategy to this as well.

Especially after seeing Bongino picked as the Deputy Director of the FBI.

I have a feeling its all some chess moves in a plan to really reshape some of these federal LE agencies.
