Members collections

lately all i've been collecting is dust :( ! my next endeavor will be to collect and obtain some precision xlr rifles (375ct, 408ct, 416b and 50bmg) as most 33cals don't quite have the punch past 2400 meters like those do. there are a few other 375 to 416's that can do the job (just don't recall the cartridges).

i'm a s/w fan and would love for them to offer 444m and/or 45-70. hoping to get a few 629's in 44mag and 500mags and ad to the m/p collection.

winchesters have been on my list for a while now, but getting the cartridges i want is next to impossible. .470" bolt faces don't interest me. looking for short, long and .590" bolt faces that's NOT safari cartridges.

i'm over owning anymore glocks!

i see up to 5 beretta's in the future?

may get a few hk's?

since i been here i've noticed different members collect different things, so the few i have noticed is @Bassbob collects springs and BCG's, @KillerFord1977 collects FN FAL's. That Winchester feller collects vintage cars and @HayesGreener collects Stihl chainsaws. and @BET7 ... well what can you say he collects guns and we ain't talkin no small collection. possibly the biggest in the world. @Old_Me collects naps.

just offhand that's what i can remember right now. i'm sure there are more.
i used to collect baseball caps, especially back in my garage days.....or some from various trucking companies or trucking products, i may still have a few, but i doubt it, but if i can find them, i will snap a pick.

then frankly, i found that collecting "some things" only have sentimental value, so to take up space for sentimental reasons just stopped decades ago.

one must consider how to store things properly. what is available these days, just wasn't around way back then.

so time takes its toll on many collectables.

then one must consider the burden to the family in the event of death..the spouse or children must sift thru the collection(s) of the deceased. who wants what, and what gets sold, and what gets tossed away.

that "can be a burden" on the family.

with naps, all one collects is dust, which is easily burnt away in the cremation oven...........

I maintain an appropriate amount of spares of those things. What I collect are old safety razors and old shaving equipment, guitars, amps, old vacuum tubes, Beatle paraphernalia, knives and tools. 😊
