Most Trivial Reason You Ever Purchased a Gun?

I just needed a better gun than a 1911!!!!!!!!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣. Sorry couldn’t resist!

Most trivial reason, not sure. Maybe the week after Y2k turned out to be a big nothing I bought an EAA Witness 45, and an EG Makarov plus 6 magazines each, holsters, spare spring sets and a couple hundred rounds of HP. Got it all for close to 300 bucks from some screwball who was trying to recoup something from his Y2K preps. Wonder what he ever did with that garage full of tp, and other stuff.

Still have that Mak, what a sweet lil shooter. If memory serves I think I paid 200 for the 2 handguns and like 70 bucks for the mags, holsters, spring sets and ammo.

Only gun I have bought that fits the op's question is my .22LR NAA revolver with 1.625" BBL. I didn't need it , didn't really have any use for it , but just wanted it to say I had one.
I was thinking about one a number of years ago. We were talking about them in the range and one of the guys pulled up his shirt and he had two of them hanging in holsters from nipple rings as his deep cover backups. That was it never been able to look at one since. Just cannot unsee that... lol.

Not exactly a 'trivial reason' but I wasn't expecting to purchase anything except some ammo when I walked into my local GS that day a few years ago.

Ended up browsing a little and saw a Walther CCP 9mm on -clearance- for $229 brand new in box.

I didn't have a conceal carry gun at the time, but my father owns a Walther PPQ and I've used it a few times at the range.

Needless to say, I picked it up and it's been my conceal carry every since. (photo is a stock photo)

I have the same Walther 9mm CCP M2 Bragah. This gun and my HK VP9sk are the best "fit in my hand" guns that I own. My only issue with my CCP, is it does not fire 115gr Blazer Brass reliably (Failures to fire, Failures to eject, numerous times). I read on some CCP forums it's picky on the types of ammo it eats. What ammo do you use in yours? Perhaps mine may like what yours shoots, but I know that's no guarantee.
