Mounting a sling

I'm a first time AR owner and wanted to know which side is best for mounting a two point sling?
I pull the trigger with my right finger.

on my ar 10 one end is on the hand guard an the other is on the NON cheek side of the luth ar stock

If you are right handed then you will carry the gun with the ejection side out away from you. i have all mine mounted like the one pictured but that's just what works for me.

This but I attach to buttstock on opposite side.

Bought an AR not too long ago and watched a bunch of videos and looked at photos of how people mount there slings and ultimately realized you have to just try a bunch of different positions until you find what's comfortable for you. Plus tinkering is fun, so changing the position of your sling gives until you find what works for you gives you a reason to play with your AR
