My First Pony

Yea, both of my Colts are series 70, Competition and my Classic….wow
correction and a humble apology...

i just checked the Colt Comp itself, and the clamshell box bar code/label, ...it IS a Series 70 after all, like my G'model

i have no idea why i thought differently, other than i also just checked my new Sig STX 1911, and THAT IS a Series 80

maybe that's where i got mixed up, as they are both new to my stable.

Hey, it happens, no biggie

Took the Colt to the gravel pit today. Chilly here for southern new mexico but clear skies. Fired 150 230 gr winchester with no problems at all. I did purchase 2 more Colt magazines and they also worked flawlessly. This has been the first gun that i have been completely satisfied with in a long time! Maybe i should have also purchased the 9mm instead of the Smith. Hope to have many happy range sessions with it. We are supposed to get a snow storm here monday night so it might be a few days before i can go back out there.
