Need shorter handguard?

So I have a customer who bought the pistol pictured here with the blast diverter. The problem is he wants to put a silencer on it.

So with that exact free float handguard. we have a couple of choices, 1 a barrel extension, which I don't like due to tolerance stack on the threads. or Two a shorter handguard. ( three we could mill the handguard)

So looking for a compatible handguard with that barrel nut system? If one exists. I'm not sure if that handguard is propritary etc. Any recommendations or other ideas?

Thanks
Steve

My understanding from threads in the past it uses a PRI style (may vary on having slots on the front of the barrel nut or holes in the circumstance). When it was made can change what nut combo was used. 2nd issue is getting the diverter off!

1 of these 2 should work.

Just to make sure about comparability talk with whomever you're wanting to buy from and ask them if it's compatible. If it's a PRI handguard then yes it should work. As far as other brands I don't know because I don't have a handguard with that barrel nut. Try @xdman for compatible handguards.

Before I traded it for a rifle, I had the Saint Victor pistol you have. I bought the below handguard for it and it worked great. It came with its own barrel nut. The blast diverter wasn’t that hard to get off. They also have the Mod II version with a picatinny rail all the way across the top, but it’s out of stock. It was the perfect length and was VERY similar in diameter to the stock handguard. You may want to consider it.

I have the same scenario, purchased the handguard that @uspatriot1960 mentioned above (thanks by the way) size is perfect, but I'm going to get the armorer to install as I'm also going with a RifleSpeed adjustable gas block. Problem is, the gas block needs a straight gas tube, so trying to find the correct size now for the St. Victor pistol, 7.5" barrel, suppressed. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any backpressure or cycling issues going suppressed on the stock pistol setup?
