Lucky not to lose some fingers or an eye !Damn I feel stupid
I had a squib shooting a month ago or so. Jammed. Took gun apart. Put back together and racked and tapped. Round fell out of the barrel in the range bay

Yes sir it's been so long since I've had a squib that it never crossed my mindI was there for @KillerFord1977’s squib round. Since then I’ve seen at least two more after having seen none in the last two years. I wonder if the QC is not as good while all the ammo makers are pounding out rounds in massive volume to meet the market. Count yourself lucky, things could have easily gone sideways.
Did you bulge the barrel? You may want to get the barrel inspected by a professional before using the pistol again.I had a Squibb I didn't see at first
That explains a lotI had a Squibb I didn't see at first
I don't think so, why would it shoot one carry round then hang up the slide to where I had to slam it back?Did you bulge the barrel? You may want to get the barrel inspected by a professional before using the
If the barrel bulged it can jam the slide.I don't think so, why would it shoot one carry round then hang up the slide to where I had to slam it back?
Ok I just shot 50 rounds of everything (4) different ammos except the Fiocchi and it ran perfectIf the barrel bulged it can jam the slide.
Thanks Annihilator how come the Fiocchi is getting hung up and making it so hard to exect?Glad all is fine now, I never thought of a squib round, Winchester WB I know has been good for that, I use Fiocchi a good bit, I’ll keep an eye and ear open from now on
Oh after the 50 would you think it would be ok now ?Glad all is fine now, I never thought of a squib round, Winchester WB I know has been good for that, I use Fiocchi a good bit, I’ll keep an eye and ear open from now on
Just curious, are your target rounds factory ammo. I assume it is as you’ve listed everything you’ve shot. Fiocchi always shoots fine for me but I try and avoid it because it is so dirty. I would put the squib down as a one off. Now you’ll have better awareness if something similar happens.I don't know if this is what happened or coincidences? I shot the Fiocchi and the gun didn't like it. I tried several time with the same out come, then tried my target ammo and got a squib? This is the only thing that would explain it all?. But like I said just shot 50 target rounds and it's fine
Yes sir all factory ammo one is saasilmaz, another is Phoenix ms, and Adrenaline! I shot three mags of Winchester carry loads , but the squib was a target load. And yes I guess it was a boning up / wake up that it happens. My wife and I thought back and it was in 1980 something my last squib and it was her gun . The Fiocchi I'll run in my glock or Ruger. I have also checked the barrel and shot about 120 rounds and everything is working fine so I believe your rightJust curious, are your target rounds factory ammo.
