New Hellion possible overgassing issues.

Hello everybody. I've recently up a Hellion and have put around 180 rounds of PMC black and bronze 55gr .223 through it. Of the 180 or so rounds only 20 have been ejected without a dented case mouth. Has anybody else ran into this problem? I'm running the rifle on the normal gas setting so I'm not quite sure as to why this is happening.

Pretty sure its the brass deflector on the upper causing the dents as the brass strikes the deflector .
My AUG and Hellion both do that
I have a big aftermarket deflector from Corvus defense on the AUG.

You’ll prob notice a lot of brass marks on the Hellion deflector

Next time you shoot the rifle, see where the brass lands. Should all be in a good small general area.. assuming you are outside and not indoor with the brass bouncing off the guard walls.

Overgassed? My new Hellion couldn't pick up a new round from the mag(s) (including the factory-supplied mag), I surmise the bolt was not being pushed far enough to the rear. Granted, I was shooting .223 cheap ammo, I have to go back and try 5.56. Mine set for NORMAL, not SUPRESSED....did not monkey with the gas setting...maybe I should have.

Can't monitor ejection...outdoor range with nets between shooting bays prevent monitoring ejection patterns without watching ejection w/o staying on target.
