New Jersey Governor Wants To Price Americans Out Of Their Second Amendment

Spent 15 years in Joisey. Got married and had our kids there. In the early 90's, my employer needed me in South Carolina. I couldn't wait to get out of there! Now I may purchase any rifle, shotgun or handgun at any time I want without needing anything other than a background check (before getting my CWP). No need to wait 30 days, 5 days or 1 day. In and out, same day and usually same hour!

We are also now a Constitutional Carry state, so I can carry Open or Concealed without a permit. But since I like to leave SC occasionally, I renewed my CWP. It cost me nothing to do that!

Since Joisey will not allow me or any other person from outside (or many inside) the state to exercise our Rights guaranteed by the Constitution, I will stay away.

i can't wait to leave. unfortunately, i can't right now. sad too, because despite what you hear about it nj really is a beautiful state. and it is my home but even i can't take it anymore. it's a tough state to live in and getting worse.
Isn’t it called the Garden State??

An Army basic training buddy of mine lived there Mike. If you’ve heard of the “mansion murders” up in Holmdel & Colts Neck area, that was him and his beautiful family. His brother (whom I’ve met) is still awaiting trial…

Yes. I heard of the mansion murders. Terrible thing to happen.
And yes, we are the garden state. Almost all if south jersey is farmland. Best corn and tomatoes around. A lot of blueberries and cranberry bogs too.

I was born in Englewood, Jersey. My Dad was on his way over to Vietnam the day I was born. My Mom and I lived with her parents in Bogota, then Teaneck until he got back. Used to go visit them during the summer, and we would go camping up in the Catskills. Her Dad passed, and her Mom moved to Goshen, NY. Lived there until she passed.

I was born in Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, and raised in Ramsey. My dad had a business in Hackensack and used to drive a delivery truck for him. Spent a lot of time on Kinderkamack Rd. 😁

I just reread the story. I forgot just how horrific that was.
Yeah… I saw the news while at work. Helicopter view of the still standing mansion smoldering, and pics of Keith & fam… couldn’t believe. I spent a fabulous week with them (he & Jennifer, no kids yet) around 2007. He had just had that huge place built. Met both sets of parents; Jenn’s folks (Greek Americans) really rolled out the red carpet for me. Keith wouldn’t let me pay for a sing lol e meal out….
Unbelievable what happened circa 2018..

You are right on regarding the tomatoes! I had a garden my last couple of seasons there... Best 🍅 tomatoes I have ever had! Peppers were good too!
I put in a garden every year. Mostly tomato and basil. Nothing better than cutting into a jersey tomato that is still warm from the sun. Little bit of salt… 👍
