New M1a Question

Received a new M1a yesterday. Question, when you all bought yours, how much brass was on the bolt face? Op rod has a very small mark from ejection, maybe a single case. I know manufacturers test fire, just appears a bit heavy. Rifle is spotless otherwise. Thanks.

Thanks, just used to the appearance of small arms from the big three. Magazine did not have insertion marks, anything of that nature. Paperwork still attached to the trigger guard, etc. Appreciate your response.

All manufacturer’s test fire weapons before shipping so you shouldn’t be concerned. The QC guy would use his own mag so also no concern. Clean and lube following the owners manual and enjoy your new gun.
