New p365 model

I wonder if they fixed the rusting issues?
We have two (micro or original)365 and never had rust. However, I had a Macro for about two weeks and it started showing signs of rust. Traded it in and have been waiting it out; and no it’s not a cleaning issue. I stay on top of cleaning and oiling.

Middle TN is really the best, even though it's SUPER crowded & kinda pricey. The Nashville area (where my wife & I live now, & fo= has been the "it" place to move for the last 15-20 yrs, & continues to be so. But it sure as hell isn't as humid or as dangerous as my hometown of Memphis. It beaks my heart to say that, because I grew up in the Memphis area. But it is what it is.

My wife is from there. We met at Blue Monkey some years ago. The one thing I miss; No income taxes.

Sooooo, Texas then…the mid to Western parts…it’s a dry heat, and even then, only a month or two…summertime humidity around 25-30, though 40 today due to upper level atmospheric mumbo jumbo…

i have (or had) a relative from here in RI, move to i believe the Austin area....her husband at the time was some sort of exec at Ford? down there..???

i know many parts are expensive, as is Austin...

Aaah, the Blue Monkey!!! Many a fuzzy memory from when I was 21 & drinking there regularly. I left Memphis to move to Pittsburgh for culinary school the next year, but when my eventual wife & I would come down & visit my Mom every summer, we'd go there & drink with my friends.

Ack! Not Austin…overrun with defund the police, antifa, and others. Used to be a great party city…Then they cut the police so bad in Austin that Texas DPS had to perform LE functions for the city. Then the city council whined about laws being actually enforced!

Stay far far away from Houston and Austin. Dallas/Ft. Worth not much better, but better for sure. More West…Lubbock, Abilene, Midland/Odessa, Wichita Falls, etc…
 
I used to love Memphis. I went down a couple times a year. Memphis in May ( Beale Street Music Festival) was always great. Saw Jerry Lee there 4 or 5 times. Got caught in a tornado one year waiting for Alice In Chains. Barbecue is the best in the world, dog track across the river and my favorite tattoo guy is there. I haven't been in several years now.

The BBQ is debatable. IMO it’s meh.
Now the best fried chicken I have ever had was at Gus’s on Front Street. The Memphis in May was pretty cool. I did get to see Eric Clapton play at Mud Island Amphitheater. Perhaps my favorite thing to do was go to a Redbirds games on Saturday nights. They put on an amazing fireworks show.
The crime has gotten out of control there. As you would expect a Liberal Progressive DA is just letting folks loose to go back out and commit more crime.
