New to Springfield and might become more interested.

About 2 years ago I started to get into shooting (at age 44). When I started to looking into my first firearm I was interested in the Hellcat but ended up with a Glock 43X (2 of them and became a fanboy of a gun that I ended up hating). What got me out of the Glock fanboy phase was a Springfield 1911A1 in .45. After that I got a S&W M&P 2.0 in 10MM which made me fan out more into other manufacturers. Now a little over a week ago I finally bit the bullet and got a Hellcat PRO. Yes I love it as a subcompact that’s just a little smaller than my CZ P10C and doesn’t act up like my M&P 2.0 (which happens with 10 MM I hear).

Welcome to the forum. Nice lineup of pistols. I tend to lean toward S&W for “bedside” guns but like all kinds (particularly old Winchdster 22 bolt guns). I have a SA mil-spec 1911, which i really like. I started shooting at 50 for HD but it ended up being a hobby i really enjoy.
There are a lot of knowledgeable people around here with experience on just about every handgun, rifle, shotgun and the much venerated Hi Point 😁. I’ve had many questions answered here. And it’s a fun group of people.

Welcome. One good thing about America is that we have a lot of choice and there is a crapload of guns out there, so there is something for everyone. Talk to a lot of folks and they would likely tell you of their journey, what they liked and acquired over the years. They might even tell you of their mistakes and disappointments.

Welcome indeed. This forum is definitely one of the better on the internet. Many experienced folks here and some good old fashioned humor to boot. Starting out on your journey is an exciting adventure. You may find opinions change as fashion comes and goes but the trip itself is worth more than the destination. Enjoy. Good lineup you have btw. Go to the range and post some pics when convenient.
