Well, when we were kids , it was a little easier to tell a real gun from a fake gun. But nowadays with kids taking real guns to school, you dont see kids playing cops n robbers, GI Joe with toy guns like when it was when we grew up.

To clarify "Real Progressives" typically don't have guns but many Dems do. The Gov's proposal is so asinine it is comical. I know with each purchase I make an individual goes into the back room then after time elapses they return and say :all good" guess they are checking the takeout menu from the diner. Prior to Pres Reagan getting shot I don't remember guns being so political but now with every issue facing us my gun ownership is a political hot button. wish elected people would stop the insanity and do their damn job.
 
1. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if Newsome could get that Amendment through he would do it.

2. But I think he knows that it's never going to happen in our lifetimes and this is just political theater.

3. He might be setting himself up to run for president in 2024

Most of our current police officers are products of the public school system.

The vast majority of our Public Schools are almost entirely staffed with left-leaning teachers who embrace Marxist ideology.

People that are going into law enforcement now have been indoctrinated with that ideology from kindergarten on up.

The idea that you can assume that any given police officer is conservative is laughable.

On the one hand I agree with you 100%.

On the other hand I think what's really going to happen is that when all of us die off who's ever in charge at the time will tell our grandkids who have been indoctrinated since they're very first day in kindergarten that guns are evil to turn in all the guns that we left behind and they'll do it.

I like to think as the younger generation ages they will evolve as most people do which typically goes to a centrist/conservative view. Speaking for myself my views at 20 were far different than today. I also feel education was designed for you to gain knowledge but today it is designed to pass state mandated test. Go figure, in 1980 you went to jail for a bag of weed and today you can by gummies in the strip mall.
