No battery

When I go to rack the first round the slide does not go home all the way. Also, on the 3rd shot the slide does not go home. Anybody else with the same problem?

With what weapon?

Ammo used?

Is it isolated to one magazine?

How are you charging? From slide lock? Dropping the release, or power stroke/slingshot? Are you riding the slide home?

Forgot to mention, it is a Sccy cpx2. Always does it with both mags. I am shooting Blazer 115 gr. Charging from slide lock then I have to tap rear of slide to chamber a round.

It’s a SCCY...their quality is not renown.

I always keep it whistle clean and lubed. I just want it to always go into battery without my having to tap the rear of the slide.

You could try polishing the feed ramp...might be the ammunition, try a different brand/weight of bullet...

I have only put 2 mags thru it. Maybe it needs breaking in a little more?

I prefer a small brass brush. You can buy them at any home improvement store for less than $10

I’m not familiar with SCCY but if they operate like most, drop the mag and rack it 10-15 times to ‘exercise’ it some.

I use crokus cloth to polish feed ramps, it polishes without removing any metal. You can get this at automotive stores, learned this trick from a gunsmith friend who worked at SSK Industries custom gun shop many years ago.

I haven't heard anyone mention crokus cloth since I left the military. We used it regularly to polish baren surfaces of brass and chrome.
