no bullets until late summer..???? like WTF...???

Old_Me

SAINT
I have been waiting on Badman Bullets for them to have in stock, their 230 grain, red poly coated bullets.

my reloading time is coming up, in a days if not a couple of weeks.

i sent them and email asking when can i expect them to be in stock?

here is the response the owner sent me earlier today

Those will run again sometime “roughly” around late summer to early fall.

this will not do for me.

so i sent him an email saying so, and i'll have to buy other bullets elsewhere's.

i dunno, why such a long time to produce bullets.

so now, i have to search out either other poly coated bullets, or just go with good ole copper coated, and pay a bit more

my reply to his news

Well very sorry to hear that Patrick..But my time to reload again is coming up in a couple of weeks.

i think (seriously) he has lost me as a continuing buyer/customer....

too bad, i liked the bullets, and the prices, but i gotta do what i gotta do......

especially now too, if i am every doing a survey, i don't feel i can say they are dependable now.

I'll shop around for another supplier of either poly coated or good ole copper plated.

I've used a variety of suppliers, but have gone to cheaper moly coated bullets lately from Bear Creek. For .45 ACP, their RN 230 grainers are pretty good.

Many companies that produce multiple products make them in batches. It takes time to set up a production line for a specific item. So they make as many as they think they'll need and move on to something else. Sometimes they guess wrong and run out before its time to run the next batch. That's just the way it is.

Back when I was shooting IDPA regularly, my pet .45 load used the Winchester 230gr FMJ bullet. I bought them in boxes of 2000. About 10 years ago Winchester seriously underestimated demand and it was a full year before they were available again.

well, that doesn't help me right now

it explains things, just don't help me

I try to use a glove like a doctor office glove or your fingers will get dirty. I also use a nail brush if I don't.
yeah, when i was reloading with lead bullets, i too wore latex gloves......i have to watch my lead level.....it was down to 9.1 a few months ago, down from if i recall...33 at its highest.... about 2 years(??) to get it lowered.

it's not just bullets - this from rock river - several firms have been experiencing shortages or back orders etc for the last two years https://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=2033

Check out Brass Monkey Bullets. They're hitek coated and very consistent weight. That's all I shoot in my competition pistols.
that's the company i recall, but i did not save the info.

i want to order the 45 ACP, it says "free shipping", yet they still want $17.50....for fixed shipping..????

i just sent them an email.

i buy berrys straight from them
free shipping as well , with the quantity i buy , its easy to blow past $100 in a minute
:ROFLMAO:

hmmm, so in their minds the shipping is free but the cost to tape up the box is 17.50 ok then
i think i made that mistake...it appears the "free shipping" is when you order the 2,000 pieces

i wanted to order "half a case" or only 1,000

someone did get back to me, and asked what i had wanted, told him what he needed to know, and told him i must have goofed up when i was reading.

That someone was probably Chandler, the owner.
