Good eye my friend.looks unfired..???? or do i see some paint scraped off the muzzle.??
i'd lube it up, and put it away, if never fired
take it out once in a while to show closest friends.
generally speaking, (to me) doesn't look like too many times.Been fired, not sure how much. Enough for some h9lster wear.
yeah, same as the S&W, lube it, store it.OK I will stop on this one.
COLT 1903 IN 380 CIRCA 1923 as far as i can tell from serial.
Came from my Grand pops.
Stays in the safe unless showing to that "Close friend" mentioned above shows up. Do not intend to fire, not that I have doubts about fireing this beauty.generally speaking, (to me) doesn't look like too many times.
some would say "shoot the snot out of it"..
i'd say "preserve the finish and low round count, keep it stored away"....it'll garner more value come time to sell if you ever have to.
Will do, I agree with everything you have stated.yeah, same as the S&W, lube it, store it.
you will hate yourself should you accidently drop either of them, or scratch either one.
good luck, you got real lucky.
appreciate them "as-is"
Love the grips.Really nice, mines been fired, not by me but my daddy. long story i told before.

i noticed that as well, just did not mention it.That model 10 looks unfired, i don't see any scratches in the cylinder from ejecting fired casing and it barely has a line around the outside where it has been spun around. you got a dandy there.
Those have always been on it, he got it from a retired cop i think back in the 60's don't think they are original as they are plastic. i don't know nothing about old revolvers though. fact is i know nothing about any kind of gun.Love the grips.

Pops was a stickler for maintenance protocol for everything he owned. I will give the same attention. That model 10 looks unfired, i don't see any scratches in the cylinder from ejecting fired casing and it barely has a line around the outside where it has been spun around. you got a dandy there.
when i sold my S&W 6" 357, there were slight scratches on my grips (stocks), dealer told me buyers look for stuff like that and want the price reduced. Those have always been on it, he got it from a retired cop i think back in the 60's don't think they are original as they are plastic. i don't know nothing about old revolvers though. fact is i know nothing about any kind of gun.
Mine wasn't, that was the only gun he owned. and i am really glad he didn't shoot and practice with it any. lol or i wouldn't be typing this. i never shot it even after he died. never will either.Pops was a stickler for maintenance protocol
i think that best...preserve what's there, take no chances on causing damages, that may never be corrected to perfection.Mine wasn't, that was the only gun he owned. and i am really glad he didn't shoot and practice with it any. lol or i wouldn't be typing this. i never shot it even after he died. never will either.
