NRA Convention Indianapolis, Indiana April 14-16 (Benefactor Member)

A little activity today at the Atterbury Shooting complex (about 45 minutes south of Indy in Edinburg Indiana)

Atterbury Shooting Complex on FaceBook-
"Wow
🤩
the NRA events that are taking place all over Indiana. We are hosting Primary Arms Range Day today so public shooting very limited!"

I am here in Indy. Ready to enjoy this weekend. Staying at the Omni hotel. I’m walking distance to Convention Center

Classic Firearms coverage Day 1, Part 1 at the NRA convention. Several manufacturer booths covered, and some new products introduced (Henry Revolvers, Silencers/suppressors, etc). I like the smaller Trijicon ACOGS models shown, but wonder how much they must cost. Video duration is 1:15:51 long and is broken into manufacturers interviews in the video timeline shown at the bottom of the video.

Did they borrow any of your guns for the displays ? :)

While browsing through the CCI, Federal and Remington display at the NRA show, I saw Sammy L. Davis and his wife Dixie.
He was selling his book "You Don't Lose 'Til You Quit Trying: Lessons on Adversity and Victory from a Vietnam Veteran and Medal of Honor Recipient"

Who is Sammy L. Davis?
If you saw Forrest Gump, you saw his Medal of Honor ceremony (with Tom Hank's head)

Here is a Video of his story-

Classic Firearms booth visits Day 1 Part 2. I'm not sure what happened to the CZ visit (doesn't appear), after Matt concluded his Colt (showing of their new bolt rifles), interview. Perhaps it was edited out and will appear in one of their later videos (it's not in Day 2 Part 1 however, which I posted after this post). Duration 27:34

More Classic Firearms Booth visits in Day 2 Part 1. Some interesting visits. @Belt Fed & @10mmLife :sneaky: will be interested in the Hi-Point interview (@ 36min mark), where the new Hi-Point 30sc carbine and 10mm pistol are discussed 😁. Also Classic Firearms visits our good friend @Mike H. from Springfield Armory at their booth to discuss their products (@ 46:05min mark). Total video duration 1:11:34

The classes at the NRA Convention are always interesting. I Particularly enjoyed the LEOSA Class and the improve Draw time class.

Day 2 Part 2, the Classic Firearms folks continue their booth visits. Franklin Armory in collaboration with 22Plinkster release a drop in 22lr Binary Trigger (5:25 minute mark). Taran Tactical visit was hillarious, with Taran dropping some spoilers from John Wick 4 while discussing some of the firearms in the movie (around the 15:50 minute mark). Finally the CZ visit was incorporated into this video release at about the 31:30 minute mark. Many more interviews, total video duration 59:32.

Classic Firearm Day 3 Part 1. Sig introduces new optic for the M17/M18 (but currently not for the P320's with different plate configuration, but perhaps coming later). They also announce new Legion P320 with integrated slide comp with Legion notation etched into grip instead of their grip incorporated medallion (1:35 minute mark). Ruger introduces some new firearms at around the 39:49 minute mark. Stealth Arms (43:00 minute mark) showed off their Platypus, which is a 2011 type firearm that takes Glock mags. looks like they are working on different caliber besides 9mm, such af 357 Sig, 40 and 45 acp. Much more throughout the video, total duration 49:22
