OEM Optics plate popped off in the middle of shooting! (Hellcat)

I only use Loc-Tite on rifle optic mounting screws (like my AR red dot)...now that I had a problem with my 1911's sight block screw, I'll check it every session, but I don't want to use loctite on a screw threaded directly into the firearm...IMO re-torquing after each session is likely best.
Jfal, an old trick I learned long ago about watching threaded appliances to ensure they remain torqued is with a couple tiny white dots of paint, one on the screw head and a corresponding dot on the mount surface directly across from the one on the screw.

I always use a round, wooden toothpick and white model paint. After ensuring everything is tight and torqued to specs, clean the surface for the dots really well with rubbing alcohol. Then just barely dip the toothpick into the well mixed paint and barely touch the tip of the toothpick to the surface where you want the dots. From then on as long as the dots are in position from each other, you'll know at a glance nothing has loosened and/or moved.

(NOTE): I usually don't even dip the toothpick into the little bottle of paint ..... I just dip it into the little bit of paint on the inside of the bottle cap after I've shaken it up real well and opened the bottle. All you need is the tiniest amount to make that tiny little dot. Doesn't need to be much bigger than the 'periods' in these sentences.

that's an old trick, the mechanics in the shop used, to ensure the lug nuts on the 18 wheelers stayed in place, or needed to be retightened/torqued.

Hi,

Today I was at the shooting range and like my plate popped off in the middle of shooting. I was able to recover the plate but was unable to find the screws. Can you please direct me to where I can get these screws I would very much so appreciate it. I don't know how that happened as I'm a new gun owner and haven't put on an optics yet.
I have been searching the web and forums for weeks. I had the same thing happen myself. Then I remembered I purchased a screw kit to repair a computer I was working on. Low and behold there was the perfect screws to reassemble my Hellcat. Check it out. You can call Springfield and get two or you can buy this kit and have a dozen for the next time Titanium Nitride screw with thread lock pre installed

I believe the correct screws come with the P365 Macro. Just sayin’
