To remember when... i recognize Burl Ives in all the songs I grew up with.


What brings back your holiday memories ???
 
Growing up and being prominent in the choirs in both school and church it’s the Christmas music that makes the holidays for me. Every year for 12 years I sang solo
“Oh Holy Night” at midnight Christmas church service and had lead role’s in musicals through Junior High and High School. Every Christmas for the last 25 years I play the sound track to the musical
(Jesus Christ Superstar) on Christmas Day. It’s music that keeps me sane.

I was an Alter Boy, so I spent all Christmas masses for 2 days straight at Church.
 
Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from "The Messiah" and "The Grinch..." movie, both the cartoon and the Disney one with Jim Carrey. My wife bought the animated plush toy from the Disney movie for me where he's on the sleigh with the stolen presents. When you press his hand, he sings, "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and rocks back and forth. It's incredibly funny!
