Old enough .. Christmas ..

I have shoes older than you!

So do I! I have a pair of wing tips that cost me more than new pair of Allen Edmonds would today that I was directed to buy to "fit in" with the people I was working with back in 1966. I will say one thing for them, they still (other than being resoled) look like new. Of course, it has been more than 10 years since I have worn them except for a few specific situations.

My oldest pair of dress shoes are pushing 10 years now but they only get worn once every few years.

You've got me beat! My "old shoes" are a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low cut basketball shoes which were introduced that year (1968). I wore them for one season in college where we won a state championship invitational tournament against much larger universities. They cost a whopping $6.95 which puzzled me because the high top version of that shoe was only $4.95 although it had more material than the low cut version. I kept them for the memory only as my feet outgrew them!

Edit for spelling.
