I have an XDS MOD 2 3.3” double stacked.40 and I’m wondering if the wasp hex optic will mount on the slide.

I don’t have it with me right now but I do know that there are 2 small screws on the top of the slide just in front of the rear sight. I didn’t know if the 2 screws are for mounting an optic or not.

I don’t own an XDS but I would say no but could be wrong. I know there are mounting options that use the dove tail cut for the rear sight that use a plate to mount the optic on.
A picture of your gun slide would help.

I'm not sure what the 2 screws on your .40cal XDS Mod 2 are because I don't think SA made a OSP model for that caliber before it was discontinued but I maybe mistaken.
Is your pistol possibly a .45acp and not .40cal?

No sir, it is definitely a.40 cal. There are 2 small screws but not the cut out like the OSP has. It may not be able to take an optic.
