Hi,
For the record, I remember the JFK assassination. I was very upset because the news preempted all my after school cartoons. The first time I voted was in 1976, for Gerald Ford. Unfortunately, after all of Nixon's Watergate problems, we got Jimmy Carter instead. I was living in California then, from Gov. Reagan until Newsom. I watched the Golden State become quite tarnished. I'm glad to be out of there, hoping my new home state doesn't turn blue.
Ronald Reagan, God rest his soul.
EDIT: The "cartoon" comment was merely to point out the fact that I was just a snot-nosed kid who was unaware of the gravity of the situation. All due respect to JFK. In fact, with the state of his party today, I think he might've been a Republican if he was alive now.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
