Prodigy 3.5 Compact

Brother, you are not alone. I have held one a couple of times. A beefy grip, but holds well. I know Nagels guns in San Antonio has sold a bunch of them. I am trying to justify the cost when I have the M&P 2.0 with the 3.6 barrel. I have the Ronin EMP 3, and have always liked the 1911 platform.

I have the Ronin EMP 3inch as well. That is exactly the reason I want the Prodigy.
I've several of the Officer-sized 1911s. I've had no issues (feed/extract or general gun fails) with any of them, so far, and that includes the Prodigy DS.
Not sure I'd call them micro, either - almost all of them are G19-sized.
I bought the Compact 3.5 variant. I'm not in love with it, but I think that's the Bul Armory's fault - the Ultralight feels and shoots extremely well. It's been my carry gun going on 3 years, so I'm used to it. Factoring that out, IMO, the Ultralight's workmanship is next-level when compared to the Prodigy Compact, and the difference is difficult for me to mentally filter.
I'm also thinking I should've just gotten the 4.25" Compact - it's full rail allows for more light options and the gun offers more sight radius. It's a bit heavier than the 3.5", too, which would help with recoil mitigation.
The things that bug me:
The right sided thumb safety was pinching the hell out of my hand when disengaging the safety. My hands are not soft nor are they the most meaty. I ended up swapping in a single-sided WC 6BN Tactical safety (was my first time fitting a safety but it wasn't difficult and it passed the post-fitting checks -- I just need to visit the range to test via live fire). The single sided safety does make it look cleaner on the right side and it did solve the pinching.
The trigger is meh. The measured weight (average of 5 pulls) was 3 lb 8 oz, but the trigger feels a lot heavier. The trigger wall is thick and feels a bit notchy. I will give it a chance to wear in, but I hate the trigger.
The optic adapter plate that they include...useless, and probably not just for me. The common footprint is RMSc or RMR. In fact, when I went to SA's website, the RMSc plates were out of stock - testament to what I'm saying. As well, it was difficult to find the plate in general, as many places are sold out. I found one on eBay.
I love everything else about the gun - the sights are high enough to where I probably won't ever have to worry about cowitness. The grip texturing = *chef's kiss*. Bonuses are that it can use all my other 2011 mags (the Ultralight can't do that) and it'll fit in all my 2011 holsters.
