Project Prodigy 2.0

I have a Prodigy comp 4.25 and sent to DSC gunworks to for their partial mims replacement and trigger. It runs really smooth and then I added a cyclop comp to see and it truly runs flat, no hiccups on mis-feeds. I just purchased a similar gun from a new company which is swapping out the mim parts, trigger and changing grips. Putting it in price line of Staccato, Jacob Grey, and the other mid range 1911/2011. Shooting this one today to compare but it feels real good out of the box.

Welcome from N.E. FLA.

I purchased my first Prodigy in July last year. 5" standard. Production date was May 2024. That thing was a dumpster fire from day one.
I have described issues in detail in other threads.
The result was a replacement 5" comp model. Production date November 2024. That gun runs great. SA customer service bent over backwards to assure my satisfaction. Five stars to SACS.
I upgraded my 2011 game while all of that was going on and have not looked back.
Prodigy comp is living in the safe for now.
If you are looking for a "Project" the prodigy is a pricey base gun unless it's a used purchase.
If you want the performance of a certain brand I think you are better served to save up the bones to buy that brand/model. You end up with "Out of box" performance that usually has a lifetime warranty.
