PRP & Mcarbo didn’t like each other, lol!

I’ve had my Hellcat OSP for a month now and like previous guns, the first thing I tackle is the stock trigger pull. 6 lb pull in a EDC is fine if you have average sized hands and normal strength, neither of which I have, lol.

I first installed the Mcarbo Titanium Striker Kit which cleaned up the trigger action without any polishing but I figure pull was at 5 lbs, don’t own a pull gauge.

Yesterday I installed the PRP Basic Trigger Kit but the Mcarbo striker didn’t like either PRP sear springs. Neither installed springs would allow trigger to reset fully to forward position and therefore safety blade wouldn’t engage. The combined setup would work as long as I used the Mcarbo sear spring but with no perceived reduction, didn’t try OEM sear spring but I’m pretty sure it would have worked too.

Since I was after a sub 4 lb trigger pull, I re-installed the OEM striker along with PRP’s 3.5 sear spring and now trigger is sweet. Went to range, shot 100 rounds without issues, 800 rounds total through old reliable Springfield now. Looks like Mcarbo striker will be up for sale shortly, too bad because it’s an upgrade over OEM imo.
