questions about being an NRA instructor

once becoming an NRA instructor,

1) how much does it cost to keep them??

2) how many years do you have to recertify? each year, 2 years, 3 years, etc, etc?

3) how do you recertify, by just paying a fee or taking shooting and written tests??

4) is there a "grace period" if you don't recertify in xx number of days from the due date?

thanks in advance.
Ratings last 2 years...I think the renewal fee is $35 the dates correlate

I think I knew way back when, but wasn't concerned since I thought that once certified, always certified. However, I wouldn't have a clue today what the actual cost was to renew any of them ... or the time periods involved. What cico7 has said above sounds pretty reasonable and likely as being the same as back then.

so, you only have to send them the renewal fee (s), and take no tests..????

if that's the way it's done, then (for me) it'll be worth it.

thanks

It's $35 to renew all of your ratings every 2 years. 1 fee for all ratings. You do not have to retest.
There is a charge to add a new rating, I do not recall what it is but once you have it, you only have to pay the renewal fee. That is for instructors certificates. Your basic courses do not expire but there are no records so you have to retain copies of your certificates.
